Biopic on Bihar’s Super 30 mathematician Anand Kumar

Patna, May 11: The life and achievements of Super 30 fame Anand Kumar is set to inspire youths as Queen' director Vikas Bahl is all set to make a biopic on him.

Anand Kumar, the founder of Bihar's innovative educational coaching institute Super 30, has signed the contract for the film. The biopic will be directed Vinay Sinha and Preeti Sinha of Reel Life Entertainment.

Kumar has been grooming talented students from underprivileged families for the highly competitive Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE).

For the last 14 years, Kumar has been grooming talented students from underprivileged families for the highly competitive Indian Institute of Technology-Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE).

In 2003, when Super 30 started its journey, 18 out of 30 students competed. The very next year, the number jumped to 22. In 2005, it improved further to 26. Continuing the trend, 28 students made it in 2006 and 2007. However, the 'magic moment' came in 2008, when the result was an astonishing 30 out of 30.

The script of the biopic will be penned by writer Sanjeev Dutta known for films like "Page 3," "Life in a Metro" and "Gangster while actor for the lead role is yet to be decided.

Major parts of the film would be shot in Patna.

"Super 30" for which Kumar provides free fooding, lodging and teaching to students of poor families has won accolades within the country as well abroad.
