Bihar: Crude bomb explosion inside Arrah civil court leaves 2 dead, 10 severely injured
Arrah, Jan 23: A crude bomb explosion was reported inside a civil court in Bihar's Arrah district on Friday.
According to reports two persons, one woman and a constable, are feared dead in the blast, while 10 others are severely injured in the explosion that took place around 12:30 pm.
TV reports are claiming that the woman, succumbed to blast injuries on the spot, was the one who was carrying explosives in her purse.
The nature of blast is yet to be ascertained. Those injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Lady bomber?
The police are however checking to see if this bomb was carried by the woman or not. The manner in which the body has been mutilated suggests that she could have been the one carrying the bomb.
The police force, dog and bomb squad have been rushed to the spot and the area completely cordoned off.
A crude bomb
Initial reports suggest that the bomb was crude in nature. It is too early to conclude anything, a senior police official from Bihar informed. We do not know if it is a terror strike or any other angle and we are going into the details.
The police have been cordoning off the area while the bomb squad is sanitizing the area and also checking if there are more bombs at the spot. According to some eye witnesses they found the lady moving into the court quickly. There was loud explosion and several persons had fallen to the ground.
