A delegation of 114 MPs from 15 parties led by Congress President Rahul Gandhi submitted a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind in Justice BH Loya death case on Friday.

Speaking to media Rahul Gandhi said, "Many MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha felt discomfort over it and also feel that the matter should be probed and an SIT should be formed."

He said, " A judge died under suspicious circumstances. It will be an ode to him and his family that the investigation takes place properly."

"His (Judge BH Loya) death is suspicious, there have been two other suspicious deaths. President gave positive response," Rahul Gandhi added.

Congress had raised more questions over the death of judge B H Loya since the four senior most judges of the Supreme Court - Justices Jasti Chelameswar, Ranjan Gogoi, Madan B Lokur and Kurian Joseph - questioned the Chief Justice of India's conduct over allocation of cases to judges. Congress demanded a Supreme Court-monitored probe by a special investigation team (SIT) into the case.

Special CBI judge Loya, who was handling the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case, died of a heart attack in November 2014 in Nagpur. Later, political parties, including the Congress, alleged that he died in mysterious circumstance and demanded an investigation into it.
