After hectic parleys that took place between unions and government, the state has decided to hike the wage to 12.5%. Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy told press persons that union leaders have agreed for the proposed hike and workers will start the buses across the state.

However, difference of opinion among union leaders too came to fore after the meeting. A union leader from CITU said some top leaders in the AITUC (All India Trade Union Corporation) have ignored the interests of leaders hailing from other unions. "Apart from AITCU, other unions are unhappy with the percentage of hik."

The buses have started operating from evening as soon as unions called off the strike, following the announcement of hike.
