BBMP polls tomorrow: After anaconda, crocodile, now Lotuses bloom on Bengaluru roads
Bengaluru, Aug 21: A day before the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is going to hold civic polls, the artists in Bengaluru have made yet another attempt to bring the municipal corporation's attention to the terrible condition of roads and streets of the city.
After a crocodile and an anaconda in Bengaluru's pothole filled and water logged roads, now it's lotuses in Bengaluru's streets. It was time for a visual treat to the residents of the old airport road, who saw Lotus flowers blossomed across a section of Bengaluru's dirt-ridden road.
The flowers made from thermocol were deliberately planted which left many astonished.

Garbage crisis, bad roads, poor traffic management have been major issues which are troubling the city residents and to draw concerned authorities attention, local artists have come together. They are trying all the innovative, creative and artistic ways to get these problems sorted.
BBMP polls:
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is going to hold civic polls on Saturday, Aug 22. 198 civic wards of the BBMP will got to polls on Saturday, Aug 22 and the results will be declared on Tuesday, Aug 25. The BJP was in power in the BBMP during previous term.
BBMP is the fourth largest Municipal Corporation in India that is responsible for overall civic and infrastructural assets of Bengaluru. It is run by the city council and represents the third level of government.
