Bastar DM issued govt notice for wearing sunglasses while welcoming PM Narendra Modi
Raipur, May 15: In Chhattisgarh, the Bastar District Magistrate was on Friday, May 15, served a state government notice for wearing sunglasses while welcoming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit on Saturday, May 9.
As per a news report, the Chhattisgarh government has alleged that the collector did not follow the protocol and did not show "integrity and devotion" towards duty.
The state Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said, "Only a notice has been issued to the officer. No further action will be initiated against him."
The notice issued to him states that, "The act ( wearing sunglasses) is in violation of the Section 3 (1) of the All India Services (Conduct) Rules, 1968."
However, the DM Amit Kataria has said that he did not violate any rules.
When PM Modi shook hands with the young collector, who was sporting branded sunglasses, reportedly asked him, "Mr Dabangg Collector, how are you?"
