Ayodhya dispute: Former AIMPLB member Salman Nadvi denies bribery charges

Former All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) member Salman Nadvi denied allegations over the issue of bribery in Ayodhya dispute case levelled against him by mediator in the politically sensitive dispute. Amarnath Mishra, mediator in Ayodhya dispute, alleged that Salman Nadvi for Rs. 5000 crore bribe and a Rajya Sabha seat for changing his stand on Ayodhya dispute.

Salman Nadvi said, "I don't remember him. There are so many people who meet me. He (Amarnath Mishra) shouldn't spoil environment by speaking lies. He is a man who doesn't want matter to be resolved.I ask govt to take action against him."

Amarnath Mishra, the key mediator in Ayodhya dispute, lodged an FIR against Salman Nadvi. Mishra accused Nadvi of asking for a bribe from him for changing his stand on Ayodhya. Also, Mishra demands police inquiry in this episode.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board made their decision public on their official twitter handle. A disciplinary committee was formed by the board to look into the matter. With the rift out in the open, the board had earlier hinted that Nadvi would be removed from the board.
