Aurangabad-Hyderabad train derails in Bidar, Karnataka
All passengers are safe and have reached Hyderabad safely, the railways also said.
The engine and two bogies of the Aurangabad-Hyderabad passenger train derailed near Kagalpura in Aurad taluk of Bidar in Karnataka early Friday morning. The incident took place between the Khagalpur and Bhalki stations.
Railways chief PRO Uma Shankar said that the incident took place at the Hyderabad railway zone. No casualties or injuries have been reported. Officials of the railway department are rushing to the spot and rescue operations are on. The assessment of the damage occurred is yet to be known. Passengers are being evacuated with the help of locals who have thronged the accident site.

The official statement from the railways said that 1 SLR, Engine, Bogey S3, S2 and S1 had derailed. All passengers are safe and have reached Hyderabad safely, the railways also said. The disaster management team, senior officers and general manager of the railways have reached the spot. They are assessing the damage and also overseeing the operations. A high-level inquiry has been ordered by the general manager, the railways also said.
