The court finally intervened and named the child, Johan Sachin. The judge also ordered that a birth certificate be issued with that name. The couple got married as per Christian rites on August 29 2010. The next day they got married as per Hindu rites.

The couple had two children born in 2011 and 2013.

The mother said that the birth certificate should have the name Johan Mani Sachin while citing the baptism certificate. The father however argued that the name Abhinav Sachin was agreed upon at the 28th day ceremony.
