According to the latest weather forecast, Cyclone Ockhi moves closer to Gujarat and is likely to make landfall in the state on Tuesday night. Rahul Gandhi's seventh visit to poll-bound Gujarat since September.
The 47-year-old leader -- who filed his nomination for the Congress president's post on Monday was suppose to address a public meeting at the Town Hall Ground in Anjar in Kutch district, followed by another in Morbi district.
Meanwhile, Narendra Modi appealed to BJP workers to extend a helping hand to those that would be likely hit by the cyclone, which is expected to make a landfall tonight on the state's southern coast in Surat.
The BJP has also called off rallies and press conferences of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Surat on Tuesday, a party leader said.
