Last week, a clip from the song, Manikya Malaraya Poovi, went viral on social media. In the clip, Priya and her co-actor from the school romance drama are seen exchanging flirtatious glances.
However, it's Priya's wink which left all smitten by her charm and pretty face. Overnight Priya became internet sensation and national obsession. The song was shared millions of times on various online platforms.
Reports say Priya has got various film offers from Bollywood too. The actress was also in the news after a group of Muslim men in Hyderabad filed a police complaint against the song for hurting their religious sentiments.
A fringe outfit from Mumbai, Raza Academy, too has threatened to protest against the song for hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims across the world. However, the makers of the film have declined to remove the song from the film.
