Lucknow, Jan 20: BJP President Amit Shah has received a massive relief on Wednesday after UP police gave him clean chit in hate speech case during 2014 Parliament elections in the state.

The police had yesterday filed the final report in a local court, saying, "there is no evidence against him in the case," according to the prosecution. The final report would now be placed before the judicial magistrate who will take a final call.

Shah gets clean chit in hate speech case

Amit Shah, who led the election campaign in Uttar Pradesh, during Lok Sabha elections, was charge-sheeted by the state police on April 4, 2014, for making an objectionable speech in Barwar village in Muzaffarnagar district.
