Ambareesh set to make crucial political decision
Actor-politician, M H Ambareesh who has stayed away from the Karnataka assembly elections is expected to make a major announcement. He had refused to contest on a Congress ticket and also stayed away from the campaign in Mandya, where he is a popular leader.
JD(S) chief, H D Kumaraswamy said that Ambareesh would make an important announcement in a couple of days. Ambareesh had met with Kumaraswamy on Saturday night.
Kumaraswamy said that Ambareesh wants the JD(S) to come to power. He would analyse the situation and make a decision soon. He accused Siddaramaiah of speaking lightly about Ambareesh. "Had it not been for him, Siddaramaiah would have lost by a margin of 10,000 votes during 2006, Chamundeshwari by-elections", Kumaraswamy also said.
He also expressed concern over actors campaigning for politicians. He said that there is no problem in actors campaigning, but they need to identify themselves with a political party and work for its victory.
