Amar Singh-Mulayam
Lucknow, Aug 19: Erasing all airs of speculation that he might join the SP (Samajwadi Party) again, Amar Singh said that he would not return to the party. The reason behind this rumour was his meeting with the SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son and chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav.

Singh said,"Won't join SP again, says Amar Singh after meeting Mulayam."

Earlier this month, the duo were seen sharing the dias at a public function during the inauguration of the Janeshwar Mishra park.

However, Ramgopal Yadav, SP national general secretary discounted Amar Singh;s re-entry into the party. "There is no possibility of taking Amar Singh back in party. So far no such matter has been raised in the party by anyone," Yadav said.

The SP had expelled him and actor-turned-politician Jaya Prada on February 2, 2010 on grounds of indiscipline and anti-party activities that the party claimed dented its socialist image.
