Alwar lynching: Victim died of excessive internal bleeding, says post-mortem report

Alwar, July 24: The post-mortem report of victim of Alwar lynching case has been released on Tuesday. The post-mortem report of Akbar Khan stated 'cause of death in this case is shock as a result of ante-mortem injuries sustained over body'.

Also, the report indicated that victim sustained 12 injuries and his bones of hands and legs were broken. The doctors who conducted the post-mortem declared that victim was brought dead to the hospital.

According to the PMR accessed by IndiaToday, Rakbar died of excessive internal bleeding, the post-mortem report concludes. Post-mortem was conducted by a team of doctors including Dr Rajeev Kumar Gupta, Dr Amit Mittal and Dr Sanjay Gupta. The doctors said that in the cases of excessive internal bleeding, a person may die of shock.

Rakbar alias Akbar Khan, 28-year-old, was lynched on suspicion of cow smuggling in Alwar district's Ramgarh area on Friday night. Khan and his friend Aslam were taking two cows to their village in Haryana through a forest area near Lalawandi in Alwar when five men attacked them.

The Rajasthan police today set up a high-level committee to probe the allegations of delay against the Alwar police in taking Akbar Khan to a hospital after he was allegedly lynched by a group of people on the suspicion of cow smuggling.

It is alleged that when the incident happened in Lalawandi village in Alwar, it took over two-and-a-half hours for the police to take the victim to the Ramgarh Community Healthcare Centre, which is nearly 4 km away.
