AIADMK becomes second party in history of India to rule for more than 10,000 days

The
AIADMK
has
achieved
an
interesting
feat.
It
became
only
the
second
party
after
the
National
Conference
to
rule
a
state
for
more
than
10,000
days.
In
its
10,007
days
of
rule
as
of
today,
there
have
been
six
chief
ministers.
The National Conference on the other hand leads after ruling for 13,546 days. In this period the party has had five chief ministers.
The AIADMK has seen six chief ministers and they are M G Ramachandran, VR Nedunchezhiyan, Janaki Ramachandran, J Jayalalithaa, O Panneerselvam and the incumbent Edappadi K Palaniswami.
In this list, Jayalalithaa has ruled the longest. She was the CM for 5,239 days. MGR on the other hand ruled for 3,624 days. Others in the list are Palaniswami (653 days), Panneerselvam (468), Janaki (23). Nedunchezhiyan (7 days as acting CM after MDR's death).
The DMK on the other hand has ruled Tamil Nadu for 7,570 days. The list includes Karunanidhi as CM for 6,963 days, C N Annadurai, 700 days and Nedunchezhiyan (7 days as acting CM after Annadurai's death.
