By Oneindia Staff Writer

New Delhi, Feb 22: Once again External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj proved why she is the most 'efficient' minister in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet. This time, Swaraj took the lead in a rescue operation to help release an abducted Indian doctor from Libya.

Ramamurthy Kosanam was abducted by Islamic State militants in Libya nearly 18 months back. The doctor hails from a village Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh.

On Tuesday, Swaraj took to her Twitter page to announce the good news.

"We have rescued Dr Ramamurthy Kosanam in Libya. Dr Kosanam has suffered a bullet injury. We are bringing him to India shortly," Swaraj tweeted.

"With this, we have rescued all the six Indians abducted there. I appreciate the good work done by our mission there," she added.
