Actor Prakash Raj targets Prime Minister Narendra Modi again

Referring to Modi's rally, Raj took to Twitter and tweeted,''PROMISE TOOTHPASTE sold in 2014 .. ( forget brushing the teeth ) could not bring a smile on distressed farmers or jobless youth of my country........do you believe PROMISE TOOTHPASTE ....sold yesterday ...in Karnataka rally .....will bring it.... #justasking.''

The actor's statement comes a day after Modi addressed a massive Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) rally at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru on Sunday, 4 February, to mark the conclusion of the party's 90-day Nava Nirman Parivarthan yatra across poll-bound Karnataka.

Earlier on Sunday, Modi had said that his focus will be to make the lives of the poor and farmers easy, reminding everyone that in this budget, his government has made a significant decision to get the correct price of crops for the farmers.

However, this isn't the first time, Raj had earlier openly criticised Modi and the ruling BJP. The popular south Indian star's had during a session at the India Today South conclave commented that he was "not anti-Hindu", but "anti- Modi, anti-Amit Shah and anti-Hegde". However, his statements drew a sharp reaction from the BJP's Telangana spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao.
