AAP MLAs claim assault by BJP inside Delhi Secretariat
Addressing the media on the allegations of assault by the Delhi Chief Secretary by Aam Aadmi Party MLAs, party spokesperson Saurav Bharadwaj and Party leaders refuted the claims instead alleged that MLAs Ashish Khetan and Imran Hussain were roughed up by people shouting 'maaro maaro' and 'BJP Zindabad'.
Khetan said that when he reached Delhi Secretariat on February 20 around 1 p, a crowd of 100-150 was gathered at the Delhi Secretariat and round 32 of them rushed towards him to attack him. He said, "My PSO and staff saved me, and few of y staff were also attacked in the process," He also claimed that in spite of Delhi Police being present at the spot, they did not come to his rescue,"

He also said that Environment Minister Imran Hussain was also attacked and his aide Himanshu was injured in the attack.
Raising questions about the security, he said, "Delhi Secretariat is the place from where the Delhi Government is run, and despite such security how was it possible that such number of people could gather inside with the motive to attack party leaders?"
Refuting the allegations of the Delhi Chief Secretary, he said, "Video footage of the Chief Secretary leaving the house of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been made public, and from that footage, it is evident that he was not attacked by someone,"
Khetan demanded an impartial and independent probe into the matter and claimed that Home Minister Rajnath Singh is looking at the issue through a partial lens and hence only the version of the Chief Secretary is being given priority and not the other side of the issue by the MLAs,"
When asked as to why the meeting was held late at night, Khetan said, "The meeting was called on an urgent basis as people of Delhi were not receiving ration and the Delhi Government did not want to lose any time to address the issue."
"Indeed there was a heated argument, but claims of the Chief Secretary being assaulted is wrong and has no truth in it," Party Spokesperson Saurav Bharadwaj said.
