Sunanda Murdered- More mystery names crop up

New Delhi, Jan 10: There are more mystery figures emerging in the probe into the murder of Sunanda Pushkar. Contradictory views, multiple medical reports and several statements are only adding to the confusion into the probe.

The several statements that are being recorded do not appear to be consistent in nature and the Delhi police is having a herculean task in corroborating these statements in a bid to come to a conclusion.

Strained relations or not:

One of the prime focus of the investigation is into the relationship between Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda Pushkar. There are at least four versions to the story about their relationship.

Narain, the domestic help questioned by the Delhi police takes the name of a person by the name Katy and says that this person was responsible for the fights.

The doctors at KIMS in Tiruvananthapuram who had treated Sunanda for joint pain two days prior to her death say that there was nothing to suggest that the relations were strained. Some members of the Kerala Congress have had multiple views on this. Immediately after her death was reported some members of the Kerala Congress said that there was a huge fight between the two.

There were others in the Kerala Congress who later went on to suggest that the relationship was as normal as ever.

Katy and Sunil Saab:

These were two names that cropped up during the questioning of Narain the domestic help. Narin claimed that Katy had become the cause of the fights between Sunanda and Shashi Tharoor. He goes on to add that they fought over Katy in Dubai for the first time. Similar fights over the same person had also taken place in other places too.

With regard to the reference to Sunil Saab the Delhi police have found that this person is Sunil Takaru a close friend of the family. The Delhi police had even questioned him and he had told them that he has no idea how she died.

Will question Tharoor soon:

The Delhi police say that they may question Tharoor next week when he is in Delhi. The accounts of Narin and Sunil will be placed before him and questions asked. They would also try and find out who the mystery Katy is. Tharoor has assured us of all cooperation the Delhi police have said.

KIMS report to be sought:

The Delhi police will also seek the report from the KIMS, Tiruvananthapuram where Sunanda was treated a couple of days before her death. The doctors at KIMS had clearly stated that there was no life threatening ailment she was suffering from.

They also said that had there been anything serious, she would have not been discharged from the hospital. The doctors also said that they had not prescribed her with any anti depressants.
