7th Pay Commission: Latest news, check salaries of 10 joint secretary posts now on offer
As lakhs of Central Government employees await good news relating to the 7th Pay Commission, the government has offered 10 posts of joint secretaries to even private citizens. With this move, the government is planning on hiring people at the top bureaucracy who are not part of the government system.
On offer are jobs at the civil aviation, commerce, road transport, economic affairs, shipping, forest and environment.
Potential candidates should be under 40 years of age and should have graduated from a recognised university or institution. What is more interesting are the salaries. Let us take a look at the same.
The salaries will be at the beginning of the scale according to Level 14 of the pay matrix, which is the highest of them all at Rs 144200-Rs 218200. Officers in Pay Level 14 and higher, who are entitled to the use of official car, also have the option to avail the existing facility or to draw the transport allowance at the rate of Rs 15,750 pm. These employees will also be entitled for DA and HRA apart from government accommodation.
Those

bound
by
a
three
year
contract,
which
could
also
be
extended
up
to
5
years.
The
extension
would
however
depend
on
performance.

It must be noted that no physical applications will be entertained. One must also note that there would be no extension and the deadline must be strictly adhered to.
While the government has introduced this new scheme, there are lakhs of CG employees waiting for a hike beyond the 7th Pay Commission. After the implementation of the 7th Pay Commission, several employees were unhappy. They want the fitment factor to be raised to 3.68 times. The 7th Pay Commission and fixed the pay as per fitment factor 2.57.
