7 Hurriyat leaders sent to 10 day police custody in Kashmir terror funding case
A special NIA court has sent the 7 Hurriyat leaders to 10 days police custody. The 7 leaders who were arrested by the NIA in the Kashmir terror funding case were arrested by the NIA on Monday.
The NIA had sought before the court their custody and said that they needed to be questioned for their links in the case. The NIA on Monday arrested seven Hurriyat leaders in connection with the Kashmir terror funding case. During the interrogation several important revelations have been made by the accused persons.
Those arrested include Altaf Ahmad Shah Funtoosh Geelani, Ayaz Akbar Khandey, Raja Mehrajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Aftab Hilali Shah aliasShahid-ul-Islam, Nayeem Khan and Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate. Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate.
The NIA had registered the case on May 30 2017. The NIA said that the separatist and secessionist leaders, including the members/cadres of the Hurriyat Conference have been acting in connivance with active militants of proscribed terrorist organizations Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Dukhtarane Millat, Lashkar-e-Tayiba and other terrorist organizations.
