4-month-old Pak infant operated successfully, family thanks Sushma

A four-month-old Pakistani baby, who has a complicated heart problem, underwent a heart surgery in a Noida based hospital on Wednesday.

Toddler Rohaan was granted a medical visa on humanitarian grounds by New Delhi recently, after his father Saadiq requested India's foreign minister on Twitter to allow them to visit the country for medical treatment.

For me, he is just a child, a patient. Nationality doesn't make any difference. His parents had placed their trust in us, said Doctor treating the toddler said.

He was critical and had multiple VSDs. We were worried before the operation. It was only after a month that we discharged him. He's doing well now, he added.

To this, Sushma Swaraj swung into action and helped the family get visa.
