2 women pilots flying around the world to spearhead 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao'
Patiala, July 30: In a bid to spearhead the government's "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign across the globe, two women pilots - Aarohi Pandit (22) and Keithair Misquitta (23) - took to the skies from the Patiala Aviation Club on Sunday.
Both the pilots will fly in a light sports aircraft (LSA) for 90 days.
Preneet Kaur, the wife of Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, flagged off the campaign in Patiala Aviation Club.

To fly across 23 countries
According to The Tribune, the pilots aim to navigate their small aircraft over mountain ranges and forests across 23 countries spanning three continents. They will cover around 40,000 km in their 80-HP Pipistrel Sinus plane that can carry two people. It can fly for four hours at a stretch. PTI
