2 militants killed, Army jawan martyred in Sopore encounter
Sopore, Aug 3: Two terrorists have been gunned down by security forces in an encounter in Drusu village in Sopore on Friday.
Army Jawan Sawar Vijay Kumar, who was injured in the encounter, succumbed to his injuries.
DGP Jammu and Kashmir Police Shesh Paul Vaid said two bodies of terrorists were recovered from the encounter site.

The encounter happened a day after the government forces killed two militants who had snatched a rifle from the forces on Tuesday. The police said the militants were travelling in a car when it was asked to stop at a checkpoint.
As the driver of the car got down to register his identity in a log book, the police said the militants in the car fired on the forces and they fired back in which both the militants were killed at the Khumriyal area of Lolab.
