Mathura, Dec 1: At least one person was killed and several others injured after 12 vehicles piled up at Yamuna Expressway near here due to dense fog on Thursday.
Scores of passengers were left in the lurch due to poor visibility at the Delhi airport which affected flight operations.
The
first
fog
of
the
season
was
reported
in
the
Delhi-NCR
region
and
most
parts
of
North
India
including
Punjab,
Haryana,
Uttar
Pradesh
and
Rajasthan
on
Wednesday
morning.
According
to
the
weather
office,
the
maximum
temperature
is
likely
to
be
at
around
26
degrees
Celsius
and
the
humidity
at
8.30
A
M
was
at
98
per
cent.
Dense fog engulfs Delhi-NCR; flight, train services hit
The maximum temperature reported on Wednesday was 25.9 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average.
