It has been two years since the formation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led-NDA government. In last 24 months, PM Modi did an exemplary job in delivering his duties and serving the nation.

Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai..Aaage Badh Raha Hai (My country is transforming and it is on a progressive path)! This video sums up the achievements made by the various schemes launched by the Modi government.

He didn't take a single leave and dedicated his entire time in the service of his motherland. PM Modi toured various nations, from the US to Pakistan, where he tried to bridge the gap and better the bilateral relations.

Many cabinet ministers in the Modi government also gave an exceptional performance in their respective ministries.

Overall, people of India felt that acche din (good days) have finally arrived for them. In all, there are about 40 schemes being implemented since Modi took power in May 2014, including those from earlier governments.

Now, let's take a look at top 10 schemes that were launched by the Modi government that transformed India in last two years:

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister's Crop Insurance Scheme)

PM Narendra Modi unveiled the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) on January 13, 2016. Days after launching the scheme, PM Modi had written an open letter to farmers, highlighting the elements of the fresh scheme which is aimed at helping the distressed agriculture community and ensuring that farmers have to pay the lowest-ever premium rate.

Under the PMFBY, a uniform premium of two percent of the sum insured will be charged from farmers for all kharif crops and 1.5 percent for rabi crops. The annual premium for horticultural crops will be five percent of the sum insured. The remaining insurance premium will be given by the government.

For effective implementation of Prime Minister Fasal Bima Yojana, Rs 5,500 crore have been provided in the Budget 2016-17.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY)

The Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, an ambitious scheme was launched by PM Narendra Modi on August 28, 2014. It provides a host of benefits to every households including a bank account, insurance and a debit card for all.

The yojana envisages universal access to banking facilities with at least one basic banking account for every household, financial literacy, access to credit, insurance and pension facility.

In Jan 2015, PMJDY made it to Guinness World Records for opening maximum number of bank accounts. Over 11.63 crore accounts were opened before Jan 26,2015 deadline.

The allocation under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana has been increased to Rs 19,000 crore and it will connect remaining 65,000 eligible habitations by 2019.

One Rank One Pension (OROP)

One Rank One Pension (OROP)

OROP implies equal amount of pension for having served in the same rank and also having rendered the same length of service.

The scheme, which seeks to ensure that a uniform pension is paid to defence personnel who retire at the same rank with the same length of service, irrespective of their date of retirement, had been a long-standing demand of the over two million ex-servicemen in the country.

"A total of Rs 2,861 crore has been given to 15.91 lakh defence forces' pensioners under the OROP scheme till March 31, 2016", Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad had i formed in April this year.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)

With a view to ensure round the clock electricity supply to farmers and rural households, PM Modi on July 25, 2015 had launched the 'Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana' for power sector reforms in rural areas.

Under DDUGJY, the power ministry had decided to electrify unelectrified villages. It has set a target of reaching power to 18,452 un-electrified villages by May 1, 2018.

The project has been taken on mission mode and strategy for electrification consists of squeezing the implementation schedule to 12 months and also dividing village electrification process in 12 stage milestones with defined timelines for monitoring. 7,549 villages have been electrified till May 2016.

Start Up India

Start Up India

With an aim to celebrate the entrepreneurship spirit of country's youth, PM Modi launched the initiative of "Start Up India" on Jan 16, 2016.

The Start-up India programme is aimed to boost entrepreneurship at the grassroots level. The programme focuses on ensuring benefits for the youth from the lowest strata of the society.

The scheme is aimed at promoting bank financing for start-up ventures and offer incentives to boost entrepreneurship and job creation.

Make In India

Make In India

PM Modi launched its flagship and ambitious scheme "Make in India" on Sept 25, 2014.

'Make in India' initiative aims at promoting India as an important investment destination and a global hub for manufacturing design and innovation, to invite both domestic and foreign investors to invest in India.

The "Make in India" initiative is based on four pillars, which have been identified to give boost to entrepreneurship in India, not only in manufacturing but also other sectors. The four pillars are New Processes, New Infrastructure, New Sectors and New Mind-set.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is a national campaign of the central government, covering 4,041 statutory cities and towns, to clean the streets, roads and other infrastructure. The campaign was officially launched on October 2, 2014, on the 145th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The campaign aims at making India a clean country by 2019, the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

In Feb 2016, The central government announced allocation of Rs 9,000 crore for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Campaign).

Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY)

Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY)

Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana was launched in April 2015. By March 2016, loans worth Rs 1.09 lakh crore have been given to small entrepreneurs under the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana.

Under the scheme, loans between Rs 50,000 and Rs 10 lakh are provided to small entrepreneurs.

The Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency Ltd (MUDRA) focuses on the 5.75 crore self-employed who deploy funds totaling Rs 11 lakh crore and provide jobs to 12 crore people. The banking sector has been allocated an overall disbursement target of about Rs 1.22 lakh crore during 2015-16 for MUDRA loans.

Three products available under the PMMY are Shishu, Kishor and Tarun, to signify the stage of growth and funding needs of the beneficiary micro unit or entrepreneur. Shishu covers loans of up to Rs 50,000 while Kishor covers those above Rs 50,000 and up to Rs 5 lakh. Tarun category provides loans of above Rs 5 lakh and up to Rs 10 lakh.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched on May 1, 2016 by PM Narendra Modi. PM launched the Rs 8,000 crore scheme in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh to provide 5 crore free LPG connections to women members of BPL households.

The scheme will provide free LPG connections to five crore women belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families between 2016 and 2019.

The scheme provides a financial support of Rs 1,600 for each LPG connection to the BPL households.
