Modi is an excellent orator...that is not unknown to us. However, his charming personality was in full bloom during his 5-mation visit to Afghanistan, Qatar, Switzerland, US and Mexico.

Who would say that Indo-Afghan relations were strained at one point, or the US had once banned him from coming? Its already his third trip in the last few months.

Modi in US

Pen is more powerful than the swors they say, and Modi's team of writers have done a great job, striking the right chord in each of the nations, tapping their historical richness, the cultural similarity, lending a shoulder to cry and sharing his own concerns. It was a friend on a tour!

He referred to the greatest poets and writers of the era and eulogised the friendly nations for what they are and that was the trick.

Here are his best quotes of the tour:

  • You are well-known for your bipartisanship. I have also witnessed a similar spirit in Indian Parliament, especially in Upper House: PM Modi
  • I commend the members of US Congress for sending a clear message to those who preach and practice terrorism for political gains
  • India will never forget the solidarity shown by US Congress when terrorists from across our border attacked Mumbai in 2008
  • India applauds the great sacrifices of the men & women from 'The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave' in service of mankind
  • India's strong economy and growth rate of 7.6% per annum, is creating new opportunities for our mutual prosperity
  • #SIRI tells us that India's ancient heritage of Yoga has over 30 million practitioners in the US
  • No wonder then, that former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee called India and the US 'natural allies'
  • Gandhi's non-violence inspired the heroism of Martin Luther King
  • The genius of Norman Borlaug brought the Green Revolution and food security to India
  • Although its shadow is spreading across the world, terrorism is incubated in India's neighbourhood. Humanity must speak in one voice. Terrorism must be delegitimized

So, as you can see, we have many shared practices."

About Smartphones, Yoga: "SIRI tells us that India's ancient heritage of Yoga has over 30 million practitioners in the U.S. And, we have not yet claimed intellectual property right on Yoga."
