Ujjain, May 6: At least ten people were killed and nearly 50 injured at the Ardh Kumbh Mela here on Thursday when some temporary structures collapsed after strong winds and heavy rains, officials said.
Prime Minister Naredra Modi condoled the loss of lives in the pandal collapse and wished speedy recovery of those injured.
The month-long pilgrimage visited by tens of thousands of devotees and tourists began on April 22 and is set to continue till May 21 with the last holy dip in Kshipra river.
