Bangalore, Sept 20: With chants of "Ganpati Bappa Morya", Lord Ganesha idols were immersed on Wednesday in Mumbai, Hyderabad and other cities.
Ganesh Chaturthi, which is one of the biggest festivals in Maharashtra, is now celebrated across the country with great fervour and zeal.
In an emotional farewell, the ten-day Ganeshotsav festival that began on Sept 9 came to an end and the beautifully made Ganesha idols were immersed by the devotees, only to welcome him next year!

The immersion of Lord Ganesha idols at the end of the ten-day long Ganesh Chaturthi festival began here amid tight security arrangements.
