Ministry of AYUSH gets Stylish Website

The website http://ayush.gov.in has been developed as part of digital India programme, using content management framework (CMF) approach.
About website:
The website is compliant to Government of India guidelines for Websites (GIGW) and it is developed on open source platform by NIC. This website is mobile friendly and CMF approach would adapt to all screen sizes across all platforms which are Android, IOS and Windows.

User friendly:
The new portal for IDY has a provision for news to provide all the updated and relevant information relating to International Day of Yoga-2016. It has a social wall where all the social media interactive platform shall be available for the visitors to keep track on the discussions and participate in them.
The portal will also have linkages of all the important web pages of the Government of India such as Swachh Bharat, Make in India etc.

About Ministry of AYUSH:
The Ministry of AYUSH is formed in 9th November 2014 for providing more healthcare to the public. The Department of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H) was created in March 1995 and renamed as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November 2003, with a view to providing focused attention to development of Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy systems.

Objectives:
- To upgrade the educational standards in Indian Systems of Medicines and Homoeopathy colleges in the country.
- To strengthen existing research institutions and ensure a time-bound research programme on identified diseases for which these systems have an effective treatment.
- To draw up schemes for promotions, cultivations and regeneration of medicinal plants used in these systems.
- To evolve Pharmacopoeial standards for Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy drugs.
