In & out: Kayaker catches water monster but loses it moments later; turns philosophical
How do you feel when the biggest catch of your life slips out of your hands moments later after the possession?
See Canadian YouTuber Viva Frei in this video and you will get a fair idea of how it feels and also how it 'looks'.
Frei was kayaking in Missisuou Bay on the Canadian side of Lake Complain when his fishing hook got connected to something very strong. The man first thought he had hit a rock but then saw with disbelief that he got hold of a monstrous fish - a Northern pike.
"There is a big fish on this. Oh my goodness!... Oh my gosh! This is the biggest fish... this is hands down... the biggest fish," the man said out of over excitement as he pulled the hook towards him.
But then as he tried to take a video of himself with the fish held in his hand, it slipped out of his hand back into the water.
The look on Frei's face was worth watching after he lost his prized possession. The man was clearly in a state of shock, disbelief and confusion. "I take this as a sign from above I must keep doing YouTube," the man said, in a self-consoling gesture.
