‘I can hear papa!’ This deaf boy's world changed all of a sudden

By Shubham

None of us like to have flaws in us. Be it the eyesight or hearing capacity or ability to speak, we want all our organs to be in perfect shape. Yet, a lot among us do not take birth with all our sensory organs in flawless state.

In the video above, the nine-year-old boy, Luiz Gustavo da Silva of Brazil, remained deprived of hearing power in whatever little life he has lived so far. By not being able to hear, the boy not only misses the beautiful things the world has to offer to him but also causes anxiety in the minds of his parents about his future. There is also a high possibility that a deaf child also becomes dumb since he often doesn't know how to communicate properly. But his family stood by him and helped him with a surgical hearing implant which suddenly went out of order and the family found it too expensive to repair. It left the boy without a hearing ability and it touched several people in his hometown Bueno Brandão in south-east Brazil who came together to help him.

‘I can hear papa!’ This deaf boy suddenly discovers he can hear

The boy's dad then refitted the new aid to the boy's left ear but he couldn't hear after the device was switched on. But when the father made the necessary connection, Luiz heard sound for the first time in a while and his expression is worth a watch. Too excited, the boy shows thumbs up to his dad and gives him a high five and knows no bound since he could connect himself back with the outer world.

Luiz then bursts into tears and his father, who was hugging him so far and asking him to thank everybody for his regained capacity, also wipes his own eyes.

It is indeed a victory of human emotions.
