"Anti-Hindu elements I come across in the society enrages me. I loose my clam when so called intellectuals' anti-Hindu comments sets in."

This is a statement of Bajrang Dal co-convener of Bantwal Taluk of Karnataka state, Bhuvith Shetty (25) and extracted from the conversation between this writer and Shetty. In a multiple lengthy discussions and debates with Shetty, he bring forth the argument of persecutions of Kashmiri Pandits to justify his violent unlawful actions he allegedly undertook targeting Muslims. Shetty was graduated in Bcom, from a private college that was run by the people strongly affiliated to Sangha Parivar

Bhuvith Shetty

Shetty was arrested almost 10 months back under the charges of 307 (attempt to murder) for allegedly attempting to kill few Muslims on the suspicious of smuggling cattle in Dakshina Kannada. However serving in jail as under-trial for over six months, he was released on bail, with a member of Hindu Mahasabha coming to his rescue.

"I do not have any qualms with Muslims observing their faith, but they conspire anti-Hindu activities to establish Islam hegemony in a Hindu dominated India," he views. It could be recalled that same person was arrested for allegedly justifying the murder of Kannada scholar M M Kalburgi over Facebook. The larger part of conversation with Shetty with this writer held after he was released in a day after the arrest for Facebook row.

With the invasion of Muslims to India, the terrorism in the name of Jihad dawned, he said in one of the conservation. Mughal rule initiated Jihad by launching mass conversion to expand Islam populace, he said putting off the cigarette that was burning on the edge, which he was smoking. "The same equation laid by the Mughals has been taken up by contemporary Muslims to continue this unfinished saga," Shetty claims.

"I am an ardent Hindu and I can't remain obsolete in the ear of majority voice shot down by Muslims and Muslim backing pseudo erudite," he contended. Bhuvith further added that he serves as son of Bharath Matha and continue his actions against Muslims and Anti-Hindus to lay justice to suffering Hindus till he breathes last.

Expect the Unexpected:

The rough day it was, on November 13, 2015. The Bajrang Dal to which Shetty is a functionary declared state-wide Bandh to protest against Madikeri violence during Tipu Jayanti. In communally sensitive B C Road, SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) staged a protest near Tahsildar office to agitate against the Bandh call, in turn backing the state government.

The violence broke out in an already tensed place after SDPI leader Haneef Khan Kodaje allegedly made provocative speech on the venue. With in few minutes the disciplined crowed started to run helter-skelter, even as suspected Hindu activists began to pelt stones at the crowd.

Following this, a report flashed from a place called Manihalla in B C Road of Bantwal Taluk that a Hindu man called Harish Poojary was stabbed to death. The BJP, Dal, VHP immediately said Hindu was killed as result of Congress' minority appeasement policy. The leaders from both the Congress and BJP as usual formed bee line in front of Harish's family.

On November 19, the IGP Amrith Paul held a press. "Bhuvith Shetty (25) and Achyuta (28) nabbed in connection Harish Pojary's case," said the IGP. The Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada, Sharanappa informed OneIndia that both the accused admitted to the crime they unleashed. "The accuesed said they mistakingly stabbed Harish, while their target had to be a Muslim man, Samiulla," he said. This is a classic case of mistaken identity, he asserted.

Bajrang Dal's line

The Dal continues to maintain that arresting Bajrang Dal activists is a ploy by the state government to hold to party's policy of appeasing Muslims.

The state convener of the Dal, Sharan Punpwell speaking to OneIndia said "it was a blatant conspiracy by the Congress to hurt the sentiments of Hindus and further divide Hindus and Muslims. The police at the behest of state government booked false cases on Bhuvith Shetty and other Hindu activists. Buvith did not even present at the spot of gruesome incident and how the police can arrest Shetty, he questioned.

The Bhuvith, who vowed to save Hindus from Muslim atrocities was shown to the public for allegedly killing a fellow Hindu. He will for sometime (till he gets bail) continues to remain behind the bars, while political parties, Hindu and Muslim outfits sadly engage in communally laced mudslinging.
