There is a general perception that bringing back Dawood Ibrahim to India would rake up such a storm that many politicians and police personnel would have to find better places to hide. It is a well known fact that Dawood ran and continues to run his deadly syndicate with the help of politicians and police personnel especially in Maharashtra, the state where the don originally hails from.

While it is still unclear when and how Dawood would be brought back to India, the country would now watch out for a tell all book, Liaisoner with the Smuggler written by one of his former aides, Babloo Srivastava which threatens to reveal the nexus between the D-syndicate and the politicians of the country.

Another book on Dawood soon!

Who is Babloo Srivastava?

Om Prakash Babloo Srivastava is a former aide of Dawood Ibrahim. A former student from the Lucknow university, his stint into the crime scene began with a petty theft case. After being released from jail in that case, he joined the underworld.

Over the years, he became an important member of the D Gang and was involved in smuggling activites. He rose to fame in the underworld following the abduction of a builder and also the killing for a customs officer.

He broke away from the D gang after the 1993 Bombay blasts. Babloo was extradited from Singapore in the year 1995 and has been in jail since then. He is currently very high on the hitlist of the Dawood gang which had also hired a hitman called Noora to eliminate him.

Babloo prefers to stay in jail and has not even applied for parole even once. His advocates feel that there is a grave threat to his life and it is better he stays in jail where he is safer.

Liasoner with a Smuggler

This would be the second book by the former Dawood aide. His first book, Adhura Khwab written in the jail was an instant hit and sold out in record time. In this book which runs into around 150 pages, Babloo has detailed the politician-Dawood nexus and how smuggling in India is carried out.

Sources say that the book does not take names of politicians directly. However there is enough detailing for everyone to realize who is who in the book.

The book also details the role played by the police men in at least six Indian states which in turn helped the D syndicate grow. There is more that the people of India should know of how exactly people like Dawood operate in India. This book is expected to give a detailed insight into it.

The book has been written by Babloo in the Bareilly jail and is slated for release in the month of April 2015.

What the agencies are saying?

Several agency personnel who have been part of a nab Dawood operation say that while these will be sensational revelations, there is a lot that the public already know. While the smuggling activities by the D syndicate would not have been possible without the help of local politicians especially from Maharashtra there are other startling facts that need to be brought to light.

There are several questions that remain unanswered regarding the operations of Dawood. It dates back to his escape along with the Memon brothers into Pakistan. Who are the two politicians who facilitated that escape with a bribe amount of Rs 14 crore?

A trap was laid to nab Dawood several years back. The operation had all the merit of being a success, but failed mysteriously. Who was that police officer and under whose instructions did he leak information to Dawood that a senior officer of the Intelligence Bureau had set a trap to nab him?

These are very crucial questions which require answers. The escape of Dawood to Pakistan along with the Memon brothers has proved to be extremely counter productive to India. Dawood with his Rs 15000 crore worth empire is the primary funder for the ISI which runs proxies against India.
