BJP's Assembly poll victory: Amit Shah is the real 'man of the match'
But, all this became possible for the BJP due to political acumen of party's new BJP chief. It was Shah's strategies in UP which helped the BJP bag 71 seats on its own and paved a passage for the party to come to power at Centre without hitch.
Amit Shah's conviction made BJP's dream come true
The BJP had never been so confident and so successful as it is now. With the BJP's success in the recently concluded assembly polls the party has only gained more grounds in country's politics. All this has made Amit Shah party's second most influential man, first being party's face Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah must get the credit for the party's historical performance in Maharashtra and Haryana for it was his decision to go all alone in the assembly polls. It was Shah's conviction that forced the party to end its 25-year-old relation with an 'imposing' Shiv Sena in Maharashtra and snap two-year-old tie with Kuldeep Bishnoi's Haryana Janhit Congress.
Experts questioned Shah's gamble of going alone in the assembly polls and were skeptical of the party's prospects in both the states. But, Amit Shah and his team worked day and night to help BJP's dream come true in both the states. And now, BJP will form its maiden government in Haryana and on the cusp of forming its government in Maharashtra, by emerging as a single largest party.
And after the results all that the critics could do is stare at the BJP's remarkable show with amaze.
Campaigned heavily
At a time when BJP's opponents were attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for jumping into the poll fray and campaigning for his party, the BJP chief was not sitting silently either. The former Gujarat Home Minister himself held numerous election rallies in both the states. Shah held more rallies than party's poster boy Narendra Modi and also reached places where Modi couldn't reach.
The party's ace strategist shared the dais with his candidates. It was Shah's acumen that once again resulted in translating Modi's popularity amongst voters into votes.
Meet Amit Shah's team
Since, Shah couldn't do it all alone he received the support of a dedicated team that delivered as per their chief's wish.
Shah's team has mix of both senior leaders and young faces who worked tirelessly in both the states. His team includes leaders like Kailash Vijayvarghiya, Ananth Kumar, Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Dharmendra Pradhan, Sunil Bansal, Anil Jain, JP Nadda, Radhamohan Singh, Santosh Gangwar, Manoj Sinha and Bhupendra Yadav.
Kailash Vijayvarghiya and Rajiv Pratap Rudy who were made incharge of Haryana and Maharashtra, respectively, delivered.
Kailash Vijayvarghiya: BJP parliamentarian from MP, played a crucial role in wooing the Dalit voters and forging a last moment deal with Dera Sacha Sauda, popular with Dalits.
Rajiv Pratap Rudy: He was appointed Maharashtra's general secretary and meticulously planned more than 700 meetings.
JP Nadda: Senior BJP leader and Shah's close confidant conveyed the party chief's message to partymen in Maharashtra and Haryana.
But, nothing would have become possible had the team not had its firm belief in its captain's field placements and team lineup.
