  • What the rules for international travellers coming to India?
    If a traveller is found positive he or she will be isolated and treated. Their samples would be sent to the INSACOG Labs network, a multi-laboratory, multi-agency, pan-India network set up by the government to monitor genomic variations in the SARS-CoV-2, for genome sequencing to determine the strain of the virus. Contact tracing would be undertaken by the States and the same would be followed up for 14 days.
  • Which are the at-risk countries?
    United Kingdom, all 44 countries in Europe, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Israel.
  • What are the rules for passengers coming from at-risk countries?
    Passenger from at risk countries will be tested for COVID-19 on arrival. They can't leave the airport until their results are out. If negative they have to undergo 7 day home quarantine and will be re-tested on day 8. State officials will visit their homes to ensure effective home isolation.
    • Are the children of all age groups eligible for COVID vaccine jab now?
      No, according to the government of India, the COVID vaccines will be available for children above 15 years from January 3, 2022.
    • Will one of 15 -1 8 age group also need to register for the the COVID vaccine jab?
      Yes, those who are eligible for the jab need to register through CoWin or Arogya-Setu apps.
    • What is the registration process for the adolescents?
      It remains same as for other age groups. Key in mobile number, validate through OTP, submit an ID proof and get the slot.
    • How can one register through the Arogya-Setu app?
      There is a 'CoWin' tab given on Arogya-Setu. One needs to follow the instructions to complete the registration.
    • What if my kid doesn't have an AADHAR card?
      Children of 15-18 age can use their 10th class ID card to register for the jab in case they don't have an AADHAR card.
    • When will the registration for jab for 15 and above begin?
      The registration on CoWin and Arogya-Setu for 15-18 age group would start from Jan 1, 2022.
    • Can I choose the vaccine for 15 - 18 age group?
      As of now only Bharat Biotech's COVAXIN has got emergency use approval for children.
    • Who are eligible for the booster shot of COVID vaccine?
      People of 60 years and above with comorbidity and frontline workers will be eligible for the booster shot from January 10, 2022.
    • Will the senior citizens need to produce document to prove comorbidity?
      No, but they are suggested to check with their doctors whether their health is fairly good to take the booster shot.
    • Can anyone of above 60 years of age take the jab?
      No, only those who had taken their last jab 39 weeks ago.
    • Who are considered to be the front-line workers?
      Doctors and health workers mainly to be followed by the municipal staff, police and security personnel.
    • Which vaccine one can take as a booster dose?
      The authority has not yet issued any guideline about it. However the expert panel has recommended that the booster doses should be the same as the first two doses
