Jayalalithaa is progressing well: Chandy

After his hospital visit, Chandy interacted with the media and said he discussed the health status of the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister with doctors in the hospital.

The former Kerala Chief Minister, however, did not meet the incumbent Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in the hospital.

"We are getting positive reports from the hospital on the health of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. I met the doctors and they explained everything to me. According to them, she is progressing very well...she will recover in a very short time," Chandy told reporters.

Chandy also wished Jayalalithaa a speedy recovery. In the last one month, several political leaders visited the hospital to enquire about Amma's medical condition, but hardly anyone had met the AIADMK supremo.
