Haryana: Voters boycotted polls in Sultanpuria village
The highest voter turnout was recorded in Kurukshetra (65 percent), Sirsa (64 percent) and Hisar (63 percent), Gurgaon (55 percent), Bhiwani-Mahendergarh (53 percent).
However, in Sultanpuria village of Sirsa district, "not even a single vote was cast"!
According to TOI report, 1900 voters of Sultanpuria village boycotted polling over non-fulfillment of their long-pending 12-year-old demand of a water canal for irrigation and agricultural purpose.
