Required skill sets:
1. Install, operate and manage Linux systems on the physical servers.
2. Configure Linux Systems with the Virtual environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Install and manage Linux (Fedora/CentOS/Ubuntu) servers.
2. Install, configure and manage Apache and Nginx web servers.
3. Management of MySQL services and MySQL replication services.
4. Management of caching servers like Varnish.
5. Handling alerts from various system monitoring applications like Nagios.
6. Support the internal IT systems and corporate networks.
7. Assist development teams on Network and Linux queries.
8. Assist in vendor management activities for IT-related requirements.
9. Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately.
10. Maintain websites for clients and businesses.
11. Examine and analyze site traffic.
12. Customized installation of web servers such as Apache / Nginx using source files.
13. Regulate and manage access rights of different users on website.
14. Decide how site's content will be delivered to the Internet.
Job Description:
1. At least 3 years of work experience
2. Hands on experience in installing and managing Fedora, CentOS and Ubuntu Linux systems in any environment.
3. Hands on experience in Apache / Nginx web servers.
4. Hands on experience in installing PHP with Apache / Nginx and MySQL.
5. Hands on experience in configuring at least two live websites using Apache PHP and MySQL.
6. Exposure to MySQL database, MySQL clustering and replication.
7. Setting up kernel parameters.
8. Hands on experience in virtual machines.
9. Knowledge on cloud computing.
10. Basics shell scripting in - bash-
Mandatory Skills:
1. RedHat Certification: RHCE is a MUST.
2. Candidate should have experience with corporate network and not from the web-hosting company of L1 or L2 level support.
3. Candidate should have experience in working with core linux and should be capable in customized installation of PHP, MySQL and Apache/Nginx.
4. Candidate should have real-time experience in at least two running websites, which can be shown at the time of interview.
Certification Mandatory: Red Hat Certified Engineer.
