Karnataka government on Monday suspended KAS officer Bheema Naik, who allegedly helped Janardhana Reddy with converting old notes
Bengaluru, Dec 12: The Karnataka government on Monday suspended KAS officer Bheema Naik. The special land acquisition officer was arrested for abetment to suicide after his driver committed suicide accusing him of corruption.

The government has also ordered for a departmental inquiry against Bheema Naik. The inquiry will prove allegations of corruption made against the KAS officer as well as his role in abetting his driver's suicide.
Bheema Naik's personal driver, Ramesh, had committed suicide and had left behind a note holding the KAS officer responsible for his death.
The officer was also accused of helping Janardhana Reddy convert old demonetised notes with legal tender for his daughter's wedding.
Bheema Naik and his official driver Muhammed were arrested on Sunday in a joint operation by the Mandya and Kalburgi police. Officials from the CID are said to have questioned the duo in a guest house in Mandya on Monday.
