Cauvery issue: None can protest against court verdicts, SC tells Karnataka, TN
The CM said he would like to assure Tamil Nadu that all steps have been taken to protect the lives and properties of all residents of Karnataka irrespective of religion or language. I had pointed out to you in my letter dated September 12 that despite all precautions taken, violence had erupted. We have also booked a large number of cases against the rioters, the CM also says in the letter.
While the issue of Cauvery is being adjudicated by the courts and also the Cauvery Supervisory Committee, no benefit will come from bandhs and agitations. We have issued an advisory to the media to report responsibly the incidents relating to the Cauvery agitation. I would also request you to kindly do the same, Siddaramaiah also states in the letter.
