Bengaluru shocker: Woman slapped, assaulted in Jayanagar

Bengaluru, Oct 27: In a shocking incident, a woman working as a PR professional was slapped, abused and assaulted by two drunk teenagers in Jayanagar, 7th block in South Bengaluru.

According to reports, the 22-year-old woman, who hails from Mangalore, was going to gym at around 7.45 pm, when the incident happened near 11th cross, on Tuesday, Oct 20.

She said that two teenagers threw a tender coconut from the first floor of a building. When she opposed to their act, the boys started following her on a bike. They allegedly threw liquor bottles at her.

Then, one of them slapped her and passed lewd comments at her, after which they sped away. The girl told about the horrific incident to her gym instructor.

As it was dark, the girl could neither recognise their faces and nor she could note down their bike's registration number.

The victim had to leave for her hometown on that evening, but after she returned to Bengaluru on Monday, Oct 26, she narrated her ordeal on the micro-blogging site Twitter with the official handle of Bengaluru Police.

After knowing about her complaint, the cops got in touch with her and a complaint was filed against the two teens.
