Bengaluru, April 18: DLF has run into trouble yet again after buyers of DLF Westend Heights New Town on Bannerghatta Road protested on Saturday, April 18.

Aggrieved buyers alleged that DLF had failed to handover flats to buyers who had purchased the flats when it had initially launched in 2008. Buyers alleged that DLF was supposed to handover the flats by 2012 but failed to do so.

OneIndia spoke to some buyers who were protesting and found out that the buyers had submitted a memorandum to the builders but DLF had refused saying that they did not received any memorandum from its buyers.

As many as 100 people are protesting in Bengaluru near the project while a similar agitation is being held in Delhi at another DLF project.

"I have not been given possession of my flat. I don't know if I will even live to see my own house," a 60-year-old buyer told OneIndia.

Buyers even alleged that amenities like pool and club house, that they initially paid for, won't be available for them.

Some of the buyers protesting have begun a hunger fast and have demanded that DLF must give possession of the flats as soon as possible or else must give a delay penalty.
