Six killed in IED blast in Afghanistan's Laghman province


Kabul, Feb 19: A blast in Afghanistan's Laghman province on Tuesday left at least six people dead, said reports. The explosion was reportedly a Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast which took place in Qarghaee district.

On January 15, a bomb exploded near a heavily-fortified foreign compound in Kabul, killing at least four people and wounding over 100. The Taliban had claimed responsibility for that attack in Kabul that ripped through surrounding neighbourhoods.

In the Jan 15 blast, a number of civilian houses around the area were damaged in Kabul's PD9 area. According to footage shown by Afghanistan media Tolo news, ambulances returning from a blast scene in Kabul's PD9 -- near Green Village compound on Kabul-Jalalabad road.
