TTV Dinakaran bribery case: Delhi police knows who Sukesh met before striking deal

The police also said that not cooperating with investigations was not an option before Dinakaran.


The Delhi crime branch police that is probing the bribery case involving TTV Dinakaran has prepared a list of people who Sukesh Chandrasekhar met. The investigating officers said that accused Sukesh Chandrasekhar met many individuals in Chennai before he spoke to Dinakaran about bribing election commission officials.

"The Delhi police have made a list of people who Sukesh met in Chennai before he came up with the proposal of Rs 50 crore for the Sasikala camp," said ACP Sanjay Sehrawat of the Delhi crime branch. While no details on the names have been released, the police are likely to question all those who met Sukesh to track how he managed to get in touch with Dinakaran and struck the deal to 'bribe election commission officials'.

The police also said that not cooperating with investigations was not an option before Dinakaran. "The Delhi police will not accept any requests for exemption from the probe by TTV Dinakaran. He has been issued summons and has to appear on Saturday," he added.

Chandrasekhar was arrested by the Delhi crime branch police and booked for allegedly attempting to bribe election commission officials to ensure a favourable verdict to the Sasikala camp in the AIADMK symbol row. A team of officers from Delhi had arrived in Chennai to issue summons to Dinakaran on Wednesday. Dinakaran is expected to appear before the inter-state cell of the crime branch on Saturday.
