Just a few days ago, there were news reports of 30 people fleeing Dabuguda village of Odisha's Malkangiri district, fearing the Maoist diktat which mandated one member from each family to join the Naxal organisation.

This diktat came in the wake of dwindling numbers of Naxals after the September 24 encounter. The Naxals were alleged to have set up recruitment camp in the village to ensure that the villagers did not violate the diktat.

The ultras were also said to have forced villagers to raise slogans for the slain martyrs within the organization during the September 24 encounter.
