Gulberg Society massacre case sentencing is expected today
Ahmedabad, June 10: The sentencing of the 24 convicts in the 2002 Gulberg Society massacre is expected to be pronounced on Friday. A special court here deferred the date of pronouncing the sentence twice---on June 6 and 9.
The conviction came 14 years after 69 people living in the society were burnt alive during the 2002 pogroms in Gujarat. A former Congress minister Ehsaan Jaffrey was also among the dead.
