Case of trespassing against Mevani, Alpesh Thakor and Hardik Patel
Gandhinagar, July 7: Police have registered a case of trespassing against PAAS convener Hardik Patel, Radhanpur MLA Alpesh Thakor and Vadgam MLA Jignesh Mevani when they carried out a janata raid on a liquor den adjacent to the SP office in Gujarat's Gandhinagar.
Thakor, a Congress MLA, along with independent legislator Mevani and Patel, on Thursday "raided" the house of a woman, identified Kanchanben Makwana, with over a dozen supporters claiming they wanted to expose the alleged "liquor den" operating there.
The house is located near the office of Gandhinagar Superintendent of Police. Makwana filed a complaint at the Gandhinagar Sector 21 police station.
The trio claimed that that country liquor was being brewed and sold from the house and even 'seized' two pouches of country-made liquor from the house.
Four men from Sola in Ahmedabad were rushed to Sola Civil Hospital after their health deteriorated and began facing breathing problems after allegedly consuming spurious liquor on Wednesday evening.
Also, they visited the families of four persons affected and enquired about their health. They also met Hiren Meity and Ajay Gupta, who were hospitalized in the general ward at Civil Hospital.
