The bridge was the last one on the way to Mt Everest from here said Dorji Gyalzen Sherpa, Chairman at the Tabuche Buffer Zones Users Committee.

Sherpa added that with this the route to Mt Everest has been close completely for the locals or the tourists. Any detour to reach the mountain will take more than one day.

The bridge should be constructed soon or else the villagers here will face a lot of problem, Sherpa said.

Tee region and the rest of the country has been experiencing extreme floods in the past two months that has caused a lot of destruction and has displaced many, with livestock lost.
